My mom has been making these sausages for a long time now. She never really makes them often because of the time it takes to stuff the sausage. I can never find these locally unless I travel to long beach.

But that is just a waste of time and money. So I asked my mom to call around and talk to her friends to make sure she can come up with the best recipe she can. And this one by far was the best she has ever made.

Although I haven’t tried the ones from the store in a very long time. Flavor is very close. Leave outside longer for a more sour taste. Come try Cambodian cuisine.

Khmer Fried Rice

This is my version of Cambodian fried rice. Please ignore all of my “SO” I didn’t realize how many times I used the word “so” and I was pretty annoyed of myself after watching the clip. LOL. Come try Cambodian cuisine.

The staple food for Cambodians is rice. Today rice is consumed by most Cambodians daily and with all meals, using a great number of cooking styles and techniques.

There are hundreds of varieties of indigenous Khmer rice, from the fragrant jasmine-scented malis rice to countless types of wild, brown and sticky rice.

Sticky rice is most often consumed as a dessert, often with slices of tropical fruit like mango or durian and coconut milk.

Rice is eaten throughout the day in the form of street-side snacks, such as deep-fried rice cakes with chives and spinach, for breakfast, as in Cambodia’s famous rice noodle soup kuyteav or rice porridge, and in many desserts.

Plain white rice is served with nearly every family meal, typically served with grilled freshwater fish, a samlor or soup, and an assortment of seasonal herbs, salad leaves and vegetables.
