How to clean octopus – cooking tutorial

The octopus can be prepared in different ways:

fried, boiled, stewed or as a salad with potatoes…

Sonia shows us how to clean and eat it at its best, on the cooking tutorial by YellowSaffron! ***

The octopus has lean meat and it can be prepared in different ways: fried, boiled, stewed or as a salad with potatoes.

I’ll give you some advice to eat it at its best.

Let’s see together how:

If you buy a frozen octopus, the sac is already cleaned.

If the octopus is fresh, you need to remove the entrails in this way.

Make a cut on the sac at eye level and cut off the eyes with a knife.

Remove the beak in this way.

Now tenderize the octopus by beating with a kitchen hammer, in this way the meat won’t be chewy.

Wash the octopus under running water.

To curl the tentacles, dip in boiling water for 2-3 times.

In this way your dish will look nicer. Now the octopus is ready to be cooked in boiling water.
