It tends to grow upright at first, reaching heights of 1-15 dm (rarely to 3 m), but usually becomes recumbent after flowering (due to the weight of the foliage and seeds ), unless it has the support of other plants.
The White goosefoot leaves are alternate and can vary in appearance.
You will find the first ones to emerge, near the base of the plant, are toothed and approximately diamond-shaped, 3-7 cm long and 3-6 cm wide.
The leaves at the top of the stems are flowering and are rhomboidal-lanceolate, 1-5 cm long and 0.4-2 cm wide, they are waxy and floury in appearance, with a whitish coating on the underside.
The small flowers are radially symmetrical and grow on the small cymes in a dense, branched inflorescence 10-40 cm long.
