This nice 18-hole course Bonalba Mutxamel is about a 15 minute drive outside of Alicante, Spain. Built in the early 2000s, it offers some challenging water hazards, reasonably wide fairways, nice Bermuda grass (though a bit dry at the end of summer) and soft but regular greens.
A large club house with a terrace offering a nice view over the course and a very large pool (open in summer) complement the positive impression.

The vegetation is typically Mediterranean and there are plenty of palms and pine trees. Wonderful location in the coast of Alicante means there is no shortage of accommodation.

Golf Bonalba Mutxamel is an established tournament venue of considerable repute,
Bonalba Mutxamel having hosted regional events, Spanish national competitions and the budding stars of the European Challenge Tour.
Measuring 6,973 yards from the championship tee boxes, the course can be viewed as two distinct nine hole loops; the opening half is probably the more forgiving – although there are water hazards to be avoided, sound strategy and accurate driving should yield birdie chances.
The closing stretch however is more exacting, particularly the final three holes, which are more exposed to the coastal winds and demand powerful and precise ball-striking.
Despite only opening for play in 1995, Bonalba Mutxamel is already seen as one of the premier clubs on the Costa Blanca, and any golfing getaway in the Alicante area should certainly include a visit here.
