Ayora Valley lies in the inland part of the Valencian Community on the border of the provinces of Albacete and Alicante just over the border of the Costa Blanca
The Ayora Valley is one and a half hours from Alicante in the car and 10 minutes from Almansa which comes under the Murcia region.
The train journey from Alicante to Almansa takes only 20 minutes at a cost of approximately 5 euros.
The Ayora valley is made up of 5 small Villages, Ayora, Teresa De Confrentes, Jalance, Zara and Confrentes.
Every Village has a ruin or restored castle.
Ayora is the largest and most central of the Villages. It is famous for it’s cobbled, winding streets.
Honey is the main product exported from this Village.
The temperatures in this area are a few degrees colder in the Winter. However, in the Summer the air is warmer and cleaner.
The wild life in these areas are fantastic – stags roaming, wild boars, rabbits and wild birds.
The scenery in these Villages are fantastic. Cave houses, water falls, natural springs, picnic areas, natural park areas, canyons just to name a few.
