The above photo is the top of a free standing kitchen unit, it is about seven foot high so completely out of sight unless you stand on a ladder.

Skirting areas

Look and check very carefully that there are not any possible routs they can find and if found seal with mastic.
They love to get in at this point as normally food cupboards are fairly close by and they tend to hide in the dark corners at the back of such places
The Bathroom
Bathrooms are about the wettest room in the home, hence cockroaches tend to try and find a route in if possible.
So make sure that there is not anywhere the can get in from. The only need a gap the thickness of a piece of paper.
A favourite entry spot for Cockroaches in Spain can be the base of the toilet.

When installers finish they often leave tiny little possible entry areas that are not sealed as tightly as they could be.
Or possible the unit has been installed for quite a few years and the filling around the pipes is now starting to break up.
So cockroaches seem to detect that this is a nice dark place to hide and even possible find food with their rather strong smell sense
If getting up to some of these outside spots is proving difficult all is not lost, just find their point of entry on your premises and make very sure that they are well and truly sealed with mastic.
Remember Cockroaches in Spain can crawl through the very smallest of gaps. If it is the size of a pinhead then they could get through OR the thickness of a piece of paper when dealing with skirtings.
Air vents

Well yes but I will always remember a friend telling me that at the end of the summer they were just people watching sitting quietly and one of them was sure she has seen movement on the window frame,

How To Get Rid Of Cockroaches
We had a very bad problem with roaches in my apartment that was made worse by them coming from other apartments in my building.
I got rid of them 5 years ago and haven’t seen one since.
My advice is to get Borax and spray it very thinly in areas you know they frequent ( a plastic mustard bottle works perfectly).Also make sure to clean and preferable paint over your inside cupboards where they have left their droppings and scent.
Thirdly get some roach gel that comes in a small toothpaste type tube. It’s very powerful stuff and is a great compliment to Borax.
Fourthly if you’re really serious about never having them return get some Insect Growth Regulator.
It comes in very concentrated form, you add it to water according to the directions and you spray it where the roaches nest or any other area you’ve seen a lot of them.
The IGR will neuter the baby roaches so they can’t reproduce.
If you follow these steps you’ll be able to conquer even the worst infestation Permanently!
