Mexican Marigolds Tagetes
Marigolds, African Marigolds, Tagetes erecta, the Mexican marigold, also called Aztec marigold, is a species of the genus Tagetes native to Mexico.
Tagetes patula, French Marigold – anti-nematodes double mix, 1g approx 350 seeds. The French marigold is often used as a companion plant, especially for growing amongst tomatoes and potatoes where it helps to repel pests.
Despite its being native to the Americas, it is often called African marigold. In Mexico, this plant is found in the wild in the states of State of México, Puebla, and Veracruz.
This plant reaches heights of between 50–100 cm (20–39 in). The Aztecs gathered the wild plant as well as cultivating it for medicinal, ceremonial and decorative purposes. It is widely cultivated commercially with many cultivars in use as ornamental plants, and for the cut-flower trade.

Collecting Marigold Seed.
Collecting and saving marigold seeds is easy and fun. Marigolds are one of the easiest of all flowering annual plants to save the seed from and they grow readily from fresh collected seeds.
Collecting marigold seed from existing marigold plants is truly rewarding and saves you money that otherwise would be spent on new seedling punnets next season.
I personally only use paper bags not plastic. Sometimes seeds in plastic bags can turn moldy. IDC.
